• Police issues guidelines ahead of Makerere University Business School Graduation

The Anti terrorism Police will be deployed at MUBS to check out any terrorist attacks as the institution holds its 10th graduation ceremony, Police has said. The Makerere University Chancellor, Prof. George Mondo Kagonyera will preside over the function. Kagonyera will award Post graduate Diplomas ,Ordinary Diplomas and Certificates to 1,182 students .

Addressing journalists at MUBS, the Spokes person for Kampala Metropolitan Police , Mr. Patrick Onyango said anti terrorism police will heavily be deployed to ensure security is not disrupted . He further noted that “traffic police officers will also be deployed to aid normal flow of traffic along the Port Bell Road. We want business to continue normally in and outside the university. We have no diversions we only want motorists to follow the guidance of our officers,” he noted.

According to guidelines, the main gate will be used by VIPs, University officials and members of academic procession.Parents and graduands will use the same gate opposite capital Shoppers. Photo Vendors have also been prohibited in and outside campus.
