Yesterday Saturday, November 9, 2013, there was unrest at the School that led to various unfortunate incidents including injuring fellow students and destruction of the School property. The unrest spread outside the School causing unnecessary inconveniences to the School. The unrest arose from a number of factors but primarily the inability to manage situations that emerged following demands of students. The destruction is uncharacteristic of MUBS Students and indeed regrettable. The sustained injuries by students are regretted and we pray that these students who were affected recover quickly. The unrest pointed to a variety of issues on both the students and management side. It is our hope that this situation will be addressed maturely by both the students and administration and will lead to finding lasting solutions that will enable the institution grow stronger. The School was closed today Sunday and will reopen tomorrow morning for the normal School activities. I appeal to all parties to ensure that normality is restored in the institution and we operate as we have done before. Course works that were cancelled this weekend will be administered next weekend.

Let’s hope that the training in leadership will solve such upheavals in future. I believe in dialogue compared to violence. Leaders take note!
