After the first sign language training  for staff in February 2023, there were suggestions that the MUBS Disability Resource and Learning Centre should  organize another Sign Language training for staff to be able to interact with people who have a hearing impairment.

The Centre has organized a One-month Sign Language training for staff and this started on July 3, 2023 and will end on July 31, 2023, at MUBS Nakawa Campus. This training is intended to ease communication between staff, students and clients with hearing impairments.

The Director MUBS Disability Resource and Learning Centre Ms. Gorretti Byomire, urged the staff to practice signing since it is easy to forget a language one does not use often.

She further encouraged the staff to interest the rest to come and learn which will contribute to achieving the agenda 2030 of leaving no one behind.
