Prof. Laura Orobia, a Deputy Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research was recently elected ICPAU Council Member.
Her main objectives on Council are to strengthen the accountancy education and research functions of ICPAU, enhance the Institute’s existing linkages with universities and other institutions as well as to support members well-being.
The new Council will serve a two-year term, from 2023 – 2025. The ICPAU electronic elections process ran from May 29 to June 14, 2023. ICPAU is currently governed by an eleven (11) member Council. It is the National Professional Accountancy Organization, established in 1992 by an Act of Parliament, now the Accountants Act, 2013.
